Leo Club gave me lots of memories for my life in secondary school. I joined the club when i was Form 2 and i learned and encountered a lot of things there that shape part of me for the person i am now.
Leo which stands for Leadership, Experience and Opportunity are few of the elements that cultivated me when i was there. The motto is we serve. I went to the orphanage houses and the old folks' home very often and i knew the value of 'we serve' in depth. I have been participated the activities organized by Lions Club and frankly i gained the experiences to deal with people.
The thing that i miss most is times that i spent with my fellow friends there. We were given opportunities to organize functions. During the preparation of the functions whether it is big or small projects, we have been going through the hard and happy times and moments. We were scolded by our very fierce seniors, we were being rejected when we looked for sponsorship, our ideas were being banned by our seniors, we were scolded by our advisors and the headmistress, we skipped classes for the preparation, we did not sleep the whole night before the function, we stayed back after school every day and be at the school the whole day in saturday, we begged the guard to open the gate early in the morning to let us be in the school, we begged the guard to let us stay till 1am in order for us to finish our things the night before the function, we heard some 'unusual' sounds and we ran back shivering, we ate ice-cream and cakes at the wee morning, we cried together and complained our seniors who treated us so fierce, we felt pressure because we were scolded by parents due to the falling results,etc....There are still lots of things that i did not mentioned and left out. Some of the memories i can't describe with words but it will be a diary to me that i will remember forever:)
After being BOD, we had lots of misunderstandings each other and we quarreled a lot. We are so near but yet our hearts are so far from each other. Frankly, the memories after i had been BOD is really unclear. I can't remember much about that. The times and moments i miss most was when i was just an ordinary Leo but not being BOD.
This post is specially dedicated to all my leo friends---Ei Mun ( UK), Yen Yi ( SJMC), Wei Qi (Hong Kong), Hor Yuet (Singapore), Hor Pooi (Australia), Hsiao Lynn ( UKM), Yi Wen (Korea), Ee Mi( US), Jia Yu (UMS), Jia Min and Mei Chi (working), Adelynne, sook wan... The times and moments we spent whether it is sweet, sour, bitter or difficult will always stay in my heart.
To my seniors and juniors in Leo Club, a sincere big thanks to all of you:)
~~all the best to all of you no matter you are studying or working ^^
