Ueno (上野)

Tomb site of the Shogi-tai. It was to honour the soldiers defeated in battle at Ueno 1868.




Kiyomizu Kannondo Temple. It was established in 1631.
I forgot what it is about. Anyone knows? Those of you who knows what it is, do leave a comment for me:)

view around Ueno park(上野公園). Ueno park is one of the popular spots for outdoor hanami (花見) in Tokyo. Hanami is a traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers. The flowers here are usually mean Sakura (cherry blossom).

The building is Tokyo Bunka kaikan (Tokyo Metropolitan Festival Hall).

Do you know why there are crowds of people over there? They are homeless people. Although Japan is an advance and rich country, there are still a number of homeless people here. The situation is worsen since the economy recession hits Japan severely. Back to here, there are volunteers who distributed them foods & had medical check-up for them.

Ueno Zoo ( 恩賜上野動物園)

Can you see what is it ? there are gorilla & panda bear in grass cut shaped.

Actually, Ueno is one of the places that i like when i was in Tokyo. In Ueno, besides Ueno Park, there are few museums around Ueno which i am able to visit two of them. I wish i have more time to walk around Ueno. Another place i like is Kamakura which i will post it out later.
